My name is Rob Jones. I am a qualified Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, Climbing Wall Development Instructor, and the founder of Hafan Adventures.
Born, bred and living in North Wales, I have been walking & climbing in these rugged, stunning mountains of my home for over three decades since I was a child, when I was introduced to them by my Father, family members & family friends.
In 2016 I attained my Mountain Leader qualification & Hafan Adventures was born, allowing me to share my love & passion for these ancient lands full of soaring summits & delightful valleys. This is a land of folklore, myths & legends, a land where picturesque vistas of craggy lofty summits go hand in hand with gentle rolling hills. Where lush farmland & forests are interspersed with the torrents of powerful rivers & gentle babbling streams. A land of beautiful waterfalls & tranquil lakes. A land, which on its Northern & Western fringes meets golden sandy beaches & clear blue seas, providing some of the most varied & beautiful coastal path walking.

Mountain Training Association is the membership body for holders of the awards & qualifications gained through Mountain Training, who are the nationally recognised organisation for the training & assessment of climbing, walking & mountaineering leaders, coaches & instructors in the UK & Ireland. By working & playing alongside other qualified MTA instructor & leader members, as well as undertaking regular Continual Professional Development, you can be sure that I & any instructors or leaders that work with me are operating to the highest & most current standards, along with the very best practices, techniques & equipment.
